A MOTORCYCLIST in his late teens has been left with 'life-changing' injuries after a collision with a car.

The incident took place on Steamers Hill, Angarrack, near Hayle, on Wednesday, June 29 at around 6:50pm and involved a white Sym 125cc motorcycle and a red Ford Fiesta.

The rider of the motorcycle was arlifted to Derriford Hospital while the occupants of the car were left unharmed.

Police are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or have dashcam footage of it, to get in touch with them.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike near Hayle, Cornwall, on Thursday 29 June and are calling for witnesses to come forward.

"Officers were called to the scene on Steamers Hill, Angarrack, at around 6.50pm following a collision involving a white Sym 125cc motorcycle and a red Ford Fiesta.

"As a result of the collision the rider of the motorcycle, a local man in his late teens, sustained serious life changing injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.

"The occupants of the other vehicle were unharmed.

"Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended and are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision.

"The road was closed while the scene was examined. It was reopened at around 9pm.
