Cornwall Heritage Trust

Cornwall Heritage Trust - website https://www.cornwallheritagetrust.org/story-cafes/ was founded in 1985 to “preserve and strengthen” (“gwytha ha crefhe”) Cornwall’s rich and distinct heritage. They are proud to own or manage some of the most important historic places in Cornwall, and have HRH The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall as Royal Patron, and Colonel Edward Bolitho OBE as President.

As well as protecting land, buildings and artefacts of heritage significance, CHT have a strong focus on education and fundraising to continue their work.
Cornwall Heritage Trust has a thriving membership community who enjoy free access to Cornwall’s English Heritage sites, as well as the first information about tickets to all CHT events. Their popular ‘Story Cafes’ have been held both online and in person, hosting knowledgeable speakers on topics ranging from Dynamite Works to Scoot Dancing to the History of the Cornish language.

Story Cafes

During Spring 2021 Cornwall Heritage Trust offered a programme of virtual Story Cafes (via Zoom) whilst people were unable to come to attend at venues. They proved to be so successful Cornwall Heritage Trust are continuing to offer a mixture of online Story Cafes together with those at venues.

Videos of previous story cafes will be uploaded after each event onto Cornwall Heritage Trust Story Cafe Recordings.

Upcoming Events, both Virtual and Face to Face will be listed on Cornwall Heritage Trust Upcoming Story Cafes with details on how to book a free ticket.

If you would like to be kept up to date with upcoming events, please sign up to Cornwall Heritage Trust Mailing List

Cornwall Heritage Trust are very grateful to Cornwall Community Foundation who helped to fund Cornwall Heritage Trust story cafes.
