Broccoli spillage sparks traffic chaos in Hayle - updates
An eye-witness said a tractor towing a huge trailer piled high with veg has shed 'all over' the roundabout
There are reports of traffic chaos in Hayle this evening after a truck load of broccoli has spilt all over a roundabout.
The incident has taken place at Loggans Moor roundabout near Lidl around 100 metres or so from the A30.
An eye-witness says traffic is backed up in all directions following the spillage, including around the A30 roundabout and on A30 eastbound.
The eye-witness said: "There was a tractor towing a huge trailer piled high with the veg. I'm not sure how it shed them but there are hundreds on the road, about as wide as the lane is about 20 metres long."
They added that no police were on the scene of the incident which had happened on the double roundabout.

An eye-witness says traffic is backed up in all directions following the spillage, including around the A30 roundabout and on A30 eastbound.
An eye-witness said: "No police.
"It’s a double roundabout.
"Tractor towing huge trailer piles high with the veg.
"Not sure how it shed them but there are hundreds on the road, about as wide as the lane abs 20 metres long."
