Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) 

The County of Cornwall (Hatchs Hill, Steamers Hill and Angarrack Lane, Connor Downs)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Stopping) Order 2026 

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above order
dated 16th March 2026 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of
the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the
undermentioned lengths of road in Connor Downs. 

This prohibition is necessary for resurfacing works and it is
expected that the closure will be from 30th March 2026 to 17th April
2026. 

Roads subject to prohibition - Hatchs Hill, Steamers Hill and
Angarrack Lane, Connor Downs for their entire lengths. Notice is further
given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise
of its powers under 

Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily impose a stopping
prohibition the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or
permit any motor vehicle to stop as specified on the undermentioned
lengths of road in Connor Downs. 

Where any vehicle is found to be in contravention of the Order it may
receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and may be removed from site. 

Roads subject to stopping prohibition - Hatchs Hill, Steamers Hill and Angarrack Lane, Connor Downs for their entire lengths. 

The prohibitions will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1700,
weekends included. An alternative route will be signed on site.

Pedestrian access will be maintained to properties. Blue badge holders are not exempt from this prohibition.

Applicants are reminded that they have undertaken to notify all
interested parties known to be directly affected by the closure
including, if appropriate, bus companies and all frontagers on the
length of the road such as local residents and businesses as well as
other traders who may have to make deliveries and/or collections in the
area. Applicants and contractors are also reminded that they are
responsible for the provision, erection, maintenance and removal of all
necessary signing.
