Full description

Mellanvrane Mill at Angarrack is first recorded as "Melyn Bran" in 1342 (b4, b6). The name is Cornish and contains the elements melyn "mill" and bran "crow" (b8). Mellanvrane may be the site of a mill belonging to the priciple manor of Conarditone, mentioned in the Domesday survey. Mellanvrane Mill is documented in the nineteenth century (b1) and appears on the 1st Edition OS 25-inch map, and is recorded on the 1st and 2nd Edition OS 1:2500 maps. No remains are extant (b7).
