The Lights went off on Monday Sth January, and we need your help so the lights will hopefully be back on in
December 2026.
Our AGM will be held on 9th of March, 8pm in the Community Centre when we have to elect a Chair, Vice Chair,
Treasurer, Secretary and anew committee. We need new members for the
lights to continue so please consider joining as, without more help and new
committee members, there is a huge possibility that the lights may not
continue. If you are interested and can help us in any way, please email
secretary@angarrack.info We have to start a major refurbishment programme and will only be able to
continue if we get support from the village. read more »

Angarrack Christmas Lights have delivered timers to hosts of frames who
power lights. Please let us know if you have not received one.
The timers must be plugged in and powered immediately to maintain the time/programme that has been set. Please DO NOT plug your light into the timer.
A volunteer will PAT Test the light on 3rd December so please leave the frame unplugged and the plug outside, somewhere dry.
We hope to have all the lights up and working by Friday 5th December for a test switch on so please plug your lights into the timers on Friday 5th December.

The Duck Races are coming! Angarrack Summer Duck Races will be held (weather permitting!) on Sunday 9th June starting at 3pm underneath the viaduct on Riverside in Angarrack. There will be lots of races for youngsters, teens and slightly olders
plus the champion of champions race to find the Champion Duck Racer of 2024! There will be races, - and whilst not racing why not try the refreshments, bottle stall, raffle and of course the ‘tote’ on the

in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to
temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of
road in Angarrack. This prohibition is necessary for poling works and it
is expected that the closure will be from 20th February 2024, for one
day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0830 and

150th Anniversary Celebration
Angarrack Methodist Chapel will celebrate its 150th anniversary in
2024. To recognise this unique event, an afternoon get together is being
organised for Saturday 30th March in the community centre.
The event will commence at 1400, with cream tea, pasties and teas and
coffees available to those attending. There will be no charge, however

Last chance to catch Angarrack Christmas Lights for this year

Saturday will be our last big push to get all of the lights up. We will have the digger out from 11 to put the big ones up in the daylight. We are also hoping to get the light strings up along Riverside so we need as many people as possible.
If you can help please be at the crossroads at 9 am. - Volunteer for a couple of hours on a Saturday morning. We will be out every Saturday, weather permitting, from the 16th September until 26th November.

We are almost ready to put the lights up. We have tested and repaired most of them, have replaced many light bulbs and moved the frames into the village but now we need your help. If you can spare a couple of hours on a Saturday morning we would love to see you. We meet at 9 am at the crossroads in the village.
