The case rate is now averaging 327.2 cases per 100,000 people, compared to 247.6 cases per 100,000 people a week ago.

Yesterday saw a warning from Cornwall's Public Health team about a case spike in Falmouth, a week after it made one about Newquay.

It's as Falmouth's overall case total rises to 168 over the same seven-day period - 89 more than a week ago: Falmouth West & South (53, up 31), Falmouth East (55, up 29), Falmouth North (60, up 29). It puts it as the town with the highest number of cases in the Cornwall.

Newquay's cases have risen from 120 to 152 - Newquay West (60, up 15), Newquay East (92, up 17) - having previously started to fall again last week.

Helston and the Lizard Peninsula are also seeing cases start to climb again, with Helston going from 25 to 46, while the Lizard Peninsula - listed on the map as The Lizard, but actually including Mullion, St Keverne and the Meneage parishes - going from 12 to 23.

The map shows positive cases by 'Middle Super Output Area' - the name the government gives to the break-up of larger towns and groups of neighbouring towns and villages, with groupings covering a greater area than others.

The minimum population in each area is 5,000 and the average is 7,200.

Clusters are only shown when there are three or more new cases reported at any one time.

Anywhere with between zero and two cases shows white in order to "protect the privacy of individuals and prevent disclosure", the accompanying information states.
