Fatal collision - St Erth, Hayle
Cyclist pronounced deceased at the scene
At around 11.25am on Thursday 2 July, police received a report of a collision involving a pedal cyclist and a heavy goods vehicle in Station Approach, St Erth, near Hayle in Cornwall.
The cyclist, a 71-year-old male, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions while the scene was examined by a specialist forensic collision investigator.
Officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team attended and are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, or have dashcam footage, to call 101, or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting log 338 of 02/07/20.
