Police are searching for the driver of a blue Mercedes after a hit and run collision.

 

The crash took place on the A30 Loggans Moor roundabout near Hayle.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Two vehicle collision [hit-and-run] reported at 1.25pm on A30 at Loggans, Hayle.

"A van was struck on the side by a car which the left the scene.

"The VW caddy van sustained damage.

"Police are making enquiries to locate the offending car, believed to be a blue Mercedes.

"No injuries. Road not blocked."

An earlier update on traffic system Inrix stated: "Reports of accident on A30 at Carwin Rise (Loggans Moor Roundabout). On the roundabout."

It is believed traffic was moving slowly in the area following the collision.
