Boy in serious condition after hit by car in Hayle

An 11-year-old boy is in serious condition after being hit by a car in Hayle.
A police spokesman said that at approximately 8.40am on Friday, December 7, "a road traffic collision took place resulting in a serious injury to a pedestrian in Hayle on Loggans Road at its junction with Loggans Way".
He added the 11-year-old boy was a pedestrian and was was hit by a silver Audi A2.
The boy has been taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol for further treatment where he remains in a serious condition.
Officers from the serious collisions investigation unit at Camborne attended the scene.
Police are asking any witnesses to the incident to please contact them on 101 quoting log 142 of 7/12/12
