Hayle & District Lions' Fun Day will be held at Hayle Recreation Ground this Sunday, August 13.

Everything is in place to ensure a great day. The day will commence at 11am, with the official opening at noon.

This year there will be a stage with local talent entertaining the visitors. A children's fancy dress competition will be held by the stage at 1pm; come along with your child and have some fun. There will be two classes: for under-fives and children aged five to 10, with a prize for each winner kindly donated by Blewett's of Hayle.

There will also be a fun dog show with rosettes for the winners, so bring your dog along for even more fun.

Enjoy the various activities, including fairground rides, steam engine rides, pony rides, loads of stalls and stands and lots of food and drink. Organisers have also ordered the sun, so it will be a great day!

First hobby afternoon after the summer break.

Angarrack's fortnightly hobby afternoon takes place today between 2pm and 4.30pm at the Angarrack Community Centre.

Come along and bring something that you enjoy doing - for example, knitting or sewing - or just come along for a chat and a cup of tea!

Admission is £2. All welcome.
