A police hunt for an armed robber who targeted a Spar shop in Cornwall this morning has taken an unexpected turn. Armed cops swarmed around the shop at Hayle's Station Hill around 8am as schools were in put into lock down. Police tried communicating with the man who had locked himself in a house behind the Spar. Officers entered the building just before 10am when the incident was expected to be brought to a close. But instead police have moved to a new location at Queensway. Some are...

One of the UK's top supermarket companies is to appear before Truro Crown Court this morning to be sentenced in connection with the death of a customer.
