Many of our lights were made as individual frames, not part of a series. The first were made in the 1990s and the last, the Engine House, was made in 2023. We are now starting to refurbish them, staying true to the original design but now using low voltage 12v LED rope light. We will do our best to get as many of these lights up as we can, it will be subject to time and volunteers.
We will look at the remaining lights in each area of the village, All these lights were on Steamers Hill. The position given is for 2025.
Wise Men
AS you would expect The Wise Men move around the Village and seem to find a new home every year. In 2025 They were the top of the hill at 23 Steamers Hill
Large Flashing Star
This large flashing star was donated to the village by a resident and was on the corner of Carwinard Close
Cracker
The cracker is an animated light that opens to wish you a merry Christmas in Kernewek. It hangs on the back of the garage at the corner of Back Lane.
Bauble
This light became famous in 2023 when it went missing. We found it 12 months later and you can see it on the side of Carwin Villa. It has been converted to 12v LED rope light.
Steam Train
The Steam Train was donated to the lights by a resident who has now left the village but wanted it to stay as part of our collection. It can be seen above the kitchen door of The Angarrack Inn.
Coach & Horses
This light can be seen at The Olde Post Office opposite the car park and was made specifically for this location.
